Heated Acrylic/Wool Socks

These socks are fitted with battery powered heated toe portion a pocket above the toe area that hold a heat pack. Each sock is powered by a D battery that can be attached to the leg.

These socks are made by Nordic Gear, and designed for all sorts of outdoor use such as hunting, skiing, fishing, hiking, and snow shoeing. The socks incorporate Hollofil for added warmth, and its wicking properties ensure that your feed stay dry.

The heat is controlled by an on/off switch. When your feet start to get too hot, turn the heatiing elements off, and when your feet start to get cold, turn it back on. This is probably the most efficient use of the battery power, but a thermostat control would be more convenient.

How About the Socks?

Heated Acrylic Hunting Socks

The socks are comfortable, but your boots need extra space in the toes to allow for the heating element. Typical hiking boots with rounded toes usually provide enough space for a comfortable fit.

Our test pair provided plenty of warmth even when the temperatures were below freezing. We used them while skiing. This reviewer usually suffers from cold toes - especially on those chilly chairlift rides, but these socks kept me comfortable the whole day.

These heated socks are comfortable, inexpensive, and provide plenty of heat. Highly recommended!
